We live in a time of unprecedented access to health information, and unprecedented confusion.

Every day, we’re presented with conflicting advice, competing philosophies, and promises of quick fixes. The result is often confusion rather than clarity.

Savasa was created to offer something different: a place where questions are welcomed, multiple perspectives are explored, and individuals are empowered to make informed decisions that align with their own lives and values.

“You have one body and it’s an important part of your whole person. You have dreams, goals and purpose in life. The more you attend to your whole person – body, mind, emotions, spirit – the more you will enjoy life and be resilient through the ups and downs.”

Our Mission

Helping you navigate today’s wellness landscape with clarity, balance, and confidence.

To connect people with trusted information, meaningful conversations, and practical resources that support a resilient life in motion.

What We Believe

Wellness isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Savasa is a place to explore different perspectives, discover trusted resources and ideas, and find what works for you.

  • Resilience matters more than perfection.
  • Every wellness journey is personal.
  • Informed choice empowers lasting change.
  • Multiple perspectives deserve consideration.
  • Sustainable health is built through steady forward movement.

About Sam

A woman with wavy brown hair wearing a sleeveless brown top and gold hoop earrings is smiling at the camera. She stands against a plain light background.

Savasa founder, Mostly Balanced host and creator

Sam’s path to Savasa began with a personal search for a better way forward. With an academic background in dance (bachelor’s and master’s), economics, and cross-cultural religious studies, she has always been interested in movement, people, and the many factors that shape a meaningful life. Her journey has taken her from international nonprofit work to real estate, finance, and community leadership in Virginia’s Northern Neck. However, after years of recurring injuries and chronic pain, health and wellness became especially personal.

In 2023, a story in The Local Scoop led Sam to Motion Studios and her first GYROTONIC® session. From the beginning, she felt something she had not experienced in years: the ability to move freely without injury. This feeling opened a world of possibility and hope for Sam. The practice helped her rebuild strength, regain mobility and reconnect with the creativity and joy she had once found through dance. Today, she shares that experience as a GYROTONIC® trainer.

Savasa reflects what Sam has learned along the way – that wellness is an ongoing, deeply personal process, and that no single approach works for everyone. As founder of Savasa and host of the Mostly Balanced podcast, she draws from her lived experience and natural curiosity to facilitate open and honest conversations. Her goal is to help others consider their options, discover what works for them, and take their own next step toward a more resilient life.

About Morgan

Woman with straight brown hair wears large hoop earrings and a colorful patterned blouse, smiling at the camera against a plain white background.

Savasa client liaison, Mostly Balanced co-host

Morgan has built her career around the belief that authentic stories create meaningful connections. As Editor of The Local Scoop, she helps uncover the people, places and ideas that make communities special while helping small businesses grow through strategic marketing, creative storytelling and trusted relationships.

Morgan brings that same curiosity and community-minded perspective to Savasa. As creator of The Salty Spine (@hellosaltyfriends), Savasa’s client liaison and co-host of the Mostly Balanced podcast, she approaches wellness as both a storyteller and a fellow traveler—someone asking questions, considering different perspectives and learning along the way. Her goal is to make wellness conversations feel approachable, relatable and useful while connecting people with ideas and resources that can help them move forward.
